Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Ajman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. Hospitality offers many opportunities in luxury hotels, resorts, restaurants, catering, and tourism, especially for experienced chefs and supervisors. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress and respect for local customs are appreciated. Lifestyle ranges from quiet, affordable Ajman to the busier, more expensive Dubai, with beaches, shopping malls, desert excursions, and extensive dining options. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, arrange medical checks, and may provide accommodation, transport, meals, health insurance, and annual flights, depending on the contract. Employees should confirm these benefits, probation terms, working hours, and gratuity arrangements before relocating. A passport, attested qualifications, and employment offer are typically required for visa processing.
