Destination Guide

Bali is Indonesia’s best-known tourism island and offers opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, destination weddings, events, wellness, travel services, and digital work. Major employment areas include Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Ungasan, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, and Ubud. Balinese culture is strongly shaped by Hindu traditions, temple ceremonies, offerings, dance, music, and community life; respectful dress and behaviour are important. Lifestyle ranges from busy coastal nightlife to quieter inland villages, with warm weather, beaches, surfing, hiking, and a large international community. Living costs vary, with accommodation and traffic often highest in southern Bali. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate Indonesian work visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers normally guide the KITAS and immigration process. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, housing, insurance, relocation support, and tax obligations before accepting an offer.
