Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the widest range of hospitality, restaurant, retail, aviation, and tourism jobs. The culture is modern and international while rooted in Islamic traditions, so respectful dress, professional conduct, and awareness of local customs are important. Life offers excellent infrastructure, beaches, shopping, dining, desert activities, and a busy social scene, although summers are extremely hot and living costs can be high. Most expatriate employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer usually arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and work authorization. Confirm whether accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, flights, and service charges are included before accepting an offer. Bring certified documents and budget for initial expenses, deposits, and possible relocation costs.
