Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly connected island city with opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, finance, technology, healthcare, and logistics. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, with English widely used at work. Life is convenient and safe, though accommodation and daily expenses can be high; public transport is excellent, and neighbourhoods offer varied food and entertainment. Most foreign employees need a valid work pass arranged or supported by an employer. Hospitality roles may use permits, S Passes, or other applicable passes depending on salary, qualifications, and government quotas. Candidates should confirm eligibility with Marriott and Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower before relocating. Prepare recognised qualifications, references, a passport, and realistic housing and budgeting plans.
