Destination Guide

Australia is a large island country with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, resorts, restaurants and events, particularly in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. Port Douglas offers a tropical lifestyle, warm weather, beaches, reef and rainforest access, outdoor activities and a relaxed tourism culture. Living costs can be high, especially for accommodation, so applicants should confirm staff housing, transport and relocation support before accepting an offer. Australian apprenticeships usually combine paid employment with formal training, and wages vary by age, qualification level and award conditions. International applicants need a visa that permits work; options may include a Working Holiday visa, an employer-sponsored visa or another eligible temporary visa, depending on nationality and circumstances. Applicants should check current requirements with Australia’s Department of Home Affairs. Relocation planning should include flights, health insurance, tax-file arrangements, banking and emergency savings.
