The Marriott hotel in Downtown Abu Dhabi operates in the United Arab Emirates’ capital, welcoming an international mix of guests and employees. Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular Gulf destination with strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, retail, aviation, events, finance, technology, and construction. Abu Dhabi offers a quieter, family-oriented lifestyle than Dubai, with modern facilities, beaches, cultural attractions, and reliable public transport and taxis. The culture is multicultural but rooted in Islamic traditions, so modest dress and respect for local customs are important, especially during Ramadan. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are pleasant. Employers normally arrange or sponsor work visas for eligible employees; interns should confirm whether sponsorship, insurance, accommodation, transport, and flights are included. Costs vary, with housing being the largest expense. Bring authenticated documents when requested, budget carefully, and check contract terms before relocating.
