Destination Guide

Indonesia offers opportunities across Java, Bali, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and the eastern islands, especially in hotels, tourism, restaurants, technology, education, and logistics. Java, including Bandung and Jakarta, has the broadest employment market and excellent transport, while Bali is more international and tourism-focused. Indonesian culture values hospitality, respect, family, community, and religious diversity; modest dress and polite communication are appreciated. Lifestyle costs vary, with Bandung generally cheaper than Jakarta or Bali. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work visa and work permit, and should confirm current requirements with Indonesian immigration or a qualified relocation adviser. Relocating employees should arrange an employment contract, passport validity, accommodation, health insurance, tax registration, and local banking. Learning basic Bahasa Indonesia makes daily life and workplace integration easier.
