Job Description

The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing an assigned kitchen section, preparing and cooking food to Marriott and Vana Belle standards, and maintaining consistent quality, presentation and portion control. Requirements typically include professional kitchen experience, formal culinary training or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. The successful candidate is expected to prepare mise en place, support menu execution, control waste, maintain clean work areas, follow hotel procedures and work cooperatively with the wider culinary team. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays is essential. Creativity, discipline, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction are highly valued.
