Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates rather than a single island, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai offering the largest range of hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, and service-sector jobs. Abu Dhabi provides a polished, family-oriented lifestyle, modern infrastructure, beaches, shopping malls, cultural attractions, and warm weather throughout most of the year. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress, respect for local customs, and awareness of Islamic holidays are important. Employers normally sponsor work visas, residence permits, medical checks, and Emirates ID applications for overseas hires. Confirm accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, probation terms, working hours, and leave in writing before travel. Relocating employees should bring certified documents, budget for initial expenses, and expect hot summers. Public transport is improving, while taxis are widely available. Arabic is the national language, but English is commonly used in hotels and workplaces.
