Destination Guide

Bahrain is a small Gulf island country with strong opportunities in hospitality, retail, aviation, finance, construction, healthcare, and technology. Manama and areas around Seef, Juffair, and the airport are popular with international workers. The culture combines Arab traditions, Islamic customs, and a relatively cosmopolitan lifestyle; modest dress and respectful behavior are appreciated, especially during Ramadan. Life is convenient, with modern malls, restaurants, beaches, museums, and an active expatriate community, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally sponsor work visas and residence permits, arrange medical checks, and may provide accommodation, transport, meals, or health insurance. Applicants should obtain a written contract and confirm salary, benefits, working hours, and visa sponsorship before traveling. Bahrain is connected to Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway and has regular international flights.
