Job Description

The Sous Chef supports the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, food preparation, menu execution and service standards. Candidates typically need culinary training, several years of professional kitchen experience, and experience supervising chefs or kitchen teams, preferably in a luxury hotel or high-volume restaurant. Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, portion control, costing and international cuisine is expected. The role requires leadership, organization, creativity and the ability to remain calm during busy services. The successful candidate will help train colleagues, maintain quality and consistency, monitor stock, control wastage and ensure the kitchen follows Marriott and local health and safety standards.
