Job Description

The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing breads, cakes, desserts, pastries and other baked products to a consistently high standard. Requirements typically include professional pastry or baking experience, strong knowledge of ingredients and food safety, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to manage production in a busy hotel kitchen. Formal culinary training and relevant hospitality qualifications are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to maintain quality and presentation standards, control waste and stock, follow hygiene procedures, support menu development, and work cooperatively with chefs and service teams. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays is generally required.
