Destination Guide

Japan offers opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events, technology, education, and international business. Fukuoka is a lively, modern city on Kyushu Island, known for friendly residents, excellent food, convenient transport, and a generally lower cost of living than Tokyo. Japanese workplace culture values punctuality, teamwork, respect, careful communication, and attention to service details. Fukuoka provides a comfortable lifestyle with urban amenities, beaches, mountains, and easy access to other parts of Asia. Foreign applicants normally need an employer-sponsored work visa, with the appropriate status depending on the job and qualifications. Applicants should confirm degree or experience requirements, Japanese-language expectations, sponsorship availability, and relocation benefits directly with Marriott. Housing, registration, health insurance, taxation, and banking arrangements should be organized after arrival. Japan's major cities have international communities, but daily Japanese ability is highly useful.
