Job Description

The Demi Chef de Partie supports the preparation and service of Japanese kaiseki cuisine at Genjyu Kaiseki. Requirements generally include professional kitchen experience, knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques, food hygiene standards, knife skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a demanding hotel environment. Culinary training or relevant certification is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to maintain high standards of taste, presentation, cleanliness, and consistency; follow recipes and instructions; assist senior chefs; control ingredients and waste; and work cooperatively with a multicultural team. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential. Japanese-language ability and familiarity with traditional kaiseki ingredients and service are likely beneficial.
