Destination Guide

Phuket is Thailand's largest island and a major tourism and hospitality destination, with job opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, wellness, marine activities, sales and guest services. Chalong is a lively southern area known for its pier, local markets, temples and access to nearby islands, while beaches and nightlife are concentrated elsewhere on the island. The culture combines Thai traditions, Buddhist values, warm hospitality and a large international community; respectful dress at temples and polite communication are important. Lifestyle options range from affordable local food and outdoor activities to modern shopping, international dining and nightlife. Phuket has a tropical climate, busy high season and quieter low season. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and Thai work permit before working legally; tourist status does not permit employment. Confirm visa, housing, transport, tax, medical coverage and contract details with the employer before relocating.
