Destination Guide

Thailand’s islands and coastal destinations offer strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, diving, wellness, tourism sales, guest services, and marine activities. Krabi and Ao Nang are especially attractive for hospitality professionals, with easy access to Railay, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta, and other Andaman islands. Life is generally warm, outdoor-focused, and social, with affordable food, beaches, markets, temples, and a welcoming local culture. Work can be seasonal and demanding, particularly during high season, but resort employees may receive service charge, meals, accommodation assistance, transport, or staff benefits. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before legally working; requirements vary by nationality and position. Confirm procedures with the employer and Thai authorities. Relocation planning should include housing, health insurance, transport, banking, taxes, and basic Thai language skills.
