The Account Assistant – IA role supports the hotel’s income audit and accounting activities. Typical responsibilities include checking daily revenue records, reconciling cash and credit-card transactions, reviewing reports, posting entries, maintaining documentation, and assisting with month-end procedures. Candidates should have a certificate, diploma, or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, along with basic knowledge of bookkeeping and computer applications such as Microsoft Excel. Hotel finance experience is useful but may not be essential for an entry-level position. The successful candidate is expected to be accurate, organised, trustworthy, discreet with financial information, and comfortable working to deadlines. Good communication, numerical ability, attention to detail, and flexibility for hotel operating schedules are important.
