Junior Sous Chef

Job Description

The Junior Sous Chef supports the Executive Sous Chef and kitchen leadership team with daily food preparation, service, menu execution and supervision of kitchen staff. Requirements generally include commercial cookery qualifications, relevant hotel or restaurant experience, sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen. The successful candidate is expected to lead by example, maintain consistent quality and presentation, control food waste, assist with ordering and stock rotation, train junior team members, and comply with workplace health and safety procedures. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is expected.
