Job Description

The Trainee – Pastry Kitchen role supports the pastry team in preparing breads, cakes, desserts and other baked products while following Marriott’s recipes, presentation standards and food-safety procedures. Candidates are generally expected to be studying or recently graduated in pastry arts, culinary arts or hospitality, with a genuine interest in baking and a willingness to learn. Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene, measuring ingredients and preparation techniques is helpful. The candidate should be reliable, attentive to detail, physically fit for standing and lifting, and comfortable working early mornings, weekends and public holidays. Good teamwork, discipline, creativity and a positive attitude are important in this hands-on hotel kitchen environment.
