Fiji offers hospitality, tourism, construction, healthcare, education, retail, agriculture, and marine-related job opportunities, with many roles concentrated around Nadi, Denarau, and Suva. Fijian culture is welcoming and community-oriented, with strong traditions of family, respect, music, dance, and shared meals. Island life is relaxed, warm, and outdoors-focused, although imported goods and accommodation can be expensive. Workers should expect tropical weather, varying transport options, and a slower pace outside major centres. Foreign nationals normally need an approved work permit before starting employment; the employer usually supports the application, and requirements can include a contract, qualifications, medical checks, and police clearance. Confirm visa, tax, housing, and airfare arrangements directly with the employer before relocating. Staff accommodation, meals, transport, and medical benefits vary by resort and contract.
