Destination Guide

Thailand offers a wide range of hospitality opportunities across Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Koh Phangan, Koh Lanta, and the eastern islands. Resorts, restaurants, dive centers, beach clubs, and wellness businesses regularly recruit chefs, servers, housekeeping staff, instructors, and managers, with hiring often increasing before the high season from November to April. Island life is relaxed and social, with beautiful beaches, outdoor activities, fresh food, Buddhist traditions, and strong local communities. Living costs vary: Phuket and Koh Samui are more developed and expensive, while smaller islands can be quieter but offer fewer services. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before legally working; requirements and procedures should be confirmed with the employer and Thai authorities. Relocation planning should include accommodation, insurance, transport, banking, and rainy-season conditions. Bangkok may provide stronger year-round career progression, while island roles offer a more resort-focused lifestyle.
