Job Description

The Assistant Accountant supports the hotel’s finance team with accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, invoice processing, journal entries, month-end reporting, payroll assistance and financial record maintenance. Candidates are generally expected to have accounting or finance qualifications, relevant experience in hospitality or a similar environment, strong Excel and computer skills, and attention to detail. Familiarity with accounting systems and Australian tax and financial procedures is advantageous. The role requires confidentiality, accuracy, organisation and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy hotel. Clear communication, teamwork, a professional attitude and a willingness to support operational departments are also important.
