Job Description

The Halal Executive is responsible for maintaining the hotel's halal compliance across kitchens, restaurants, purchasing, storage and food preparation areas. Requirements typically include a recognised halal certification or related qualification, knowledge of Malaysian halal standards and JAKIM requirements, relevant hotel or food-service experience, and strong documentation and auditing skills. The candidate is expected to monitor suppliers, verify ingredients and certificates, conduct internal inspections, coordinate halal certification and training, and work closely with culinary, stewarding, purchasing and management teams. Attention to detail, integrity, communication skills and the ability to manage corrective actions are essential. Experience in a luxury hotel, HACCP or food-safety systems would be advantageous.
