Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality, tourism, restaurant, diving, wellness, and resort opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Sulawesi, and many smaller islands. Manado, on Sulawesi, is known for Bunaken’s diving, volcanic landscapes, warm local communities, and a relatively relaxed lifestyle. Living costs can be lower than in Bali or Jakarta, although imported goods and specialist equipment may cost more. Indonesian culture values politeness, community, religious diversity, and respect for local customs; learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is very helpful. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and the correct work authorization, commonly arranged through a work visa and limited-stay permit. Do not work on a tourist visa. Before relocating, confirm salary, service charge, accommodation, meals, insurance, flights, tax, contract terms, and whether the employer handles immigration, registration, and dependent permits.
