The Director of Operations oversees the hotel’s day-to-day operations, ensuring strong guest satisfaction, service quality, financial performance, and compliance with Marriott standards. The role typically requires substantial experience in hotel operations, preferably in an upscale or resort environment, along with strong leadership, communication, budgeting, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate is expected to work closely with department heads, coach and develop employees, manage operational challenges, support revenue and cost objectives, and maintain effective relationships with guests, owners, and business partners. Flexibility, cultural awareness, commercial judgment, and the ability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays are essential.
