Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, rather than an island. It offers extensive opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, real estate, technology, healthcare, and finance. Dubai is highly international, with English widely used at work and people from many cultures living together. The lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent shopping, dining, beaches, desert activities, and public transport, although summers are extremely hot. Islamic traditions influence public behavior, dress, and holidays, so visitors and residents should show cultural respect. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer commonly arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and work authorization. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, flights, leave, and gratuity terms before accepting an offer. Relocation costs, document attestation, and family sponsorship requirements should also be discussed with the employer.
