Destination Guide

Phuket is Thailand’s largest island and offers a strong tourism job market in hotels, restaurants, cafés, spas, kitchens, guest services, sales and watersports. Luxury resorts around Karon, Patong, Kamala, Bang Tao and Phuket Town regularly recruit experienced hospitality workers, although competition is highest during peak seasons. Life combines busy tourist areas with quieter beaches, local markets, temples and excellent seafood. The climate is warm and humid, with a rainy season generally from May to October. Monthly living costs vary widely; shared accommodation and local food can make island life more affordable. Foreign employees normally need a Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit, usually arranged with employer support before or after arrival. Applicants should confirm accommodation, service charge, working hours, medical checks and document requirements directly with the resort. Basic Thai language skills, cultural respect and adaptability are valuable for settling into Phuket.
