Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates offers extensive opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, construction, finance, and technology, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The country has a multicultural population, with English widely used in workplaces; Arabic is the official language. Life is modern, convenient, and generally safe, with excellent transport, shopping, beaches, and entertainment. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are warm and more comfortable. Most foreign employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation, meals, transport, or health insurance. Before relocating, confirm the written contract, salary, duty hours, accommodation, probation terms, and recruitment fees. Respect for local customs, modest behavior in public, and awareness of Islamic holidays are important. Dubai is relatively expensive, so provided accommodation and benefits can significantly affect overall savings.
