Job Description

The Steward Supervisor oversees kitchen stewarding operations, including dishwashing, cleaning, waste handling, equipment care and hygiene standards. The role typically requires previous experience in hotel or restaurant stewarding, supervisory ability, knowledge of food-safety and workplace-safety procedures, and the physical ability to work standing for extended periods. The successful candidate is expected to organize shifts, train and motivate team members, monitor cleanliness, control supplies, coordinate with chefs and other departments, and maintain Marriott service standards. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and varied shifts is usually required. Good communication, reliability, attention to detail and a hands-on approach are important.
