Destination Guide

Thailand offers varied hospitality opportunities on islands such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Chang, especially in hotels, resorts, restaurants, wellness, diving and guest services. Bangkok, while not an island, provides the widest range of corporate and luxury-hotel roles, including administrative positions. Thai culture values politeness, respect, calm communication and strong workplace relationships. Island life is generally relaxed, with beaches, outdoor activities and lower living costs than Bangkok, although seasonal work and accommodation can be competitive. Foreign nationals normally need a job offer, a Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit arranged with employer support; working on a tourist visa is illegal. Candidates should verify qualifications, contract terms, accommodation, salary and visa sponsorship before relocating. Basic Thai language skills are useful, while English is essential in international resorts.
