Destination Guide

The Spanish Islands include the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands, with regular opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, housekeeping, maintenance, wellness and guest services. Tenerife offers year-round tourism, a mild climate, beaches, volcanic landscapes and an international community. Life is generally relaxed, though resort work can involve long shifts, weekends and seasonal demand. Spanish is useful for everyday life and workplace communication, while English and other European languages are valuable in tourism. EU and EEA citizens can work without a visa but must register locally and obtain the required identification and social-security arrangements. Non-EU applicants normally need an employer-sponsored work permit before relocating; requirements vary by nationality and contract. Staff accommodation may be available but is not guaranteed, so applicants should confirm housing, transport, salary, meals and relocation support directly with the employer. Tenerife has airports, healthcare and good inter-island connections.
