Taoyuan is especially convenient for airport access and commuting to Taipei, while Daxi provides a quieter, greener lifestyle with historic streets, local food, and outdoor attractions. Taiwanese culture values courtesy, reliability, teamwork, and respect for service professionals. Daily life is convenient, with excellent public transport, affordable food, night markets, healthcare, and a generally safe environment. Mandarin is useful for everyday communication, although international resorts may use English at work. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate resident visa or ARC; requirements depend on nationality, qualifications, and contract terms. Confirm current rules with Taiwan’s National Immigration Agency and your employer.
