Job Description

The Commis III Pastry supports the pastry kitchen with basic preparation, baking, decorating and presentation of breads, desserts and other pastry items. Candidates are generally expected to have vocational training in culinary or pastry arts, although relevant kitchen experience may also be considered. The role requires food-safety knowledge, cleanliness, good knife and equipment skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes accurately. The successful candidate should be reliable, physically fit, willing to work shifts, weekends and holidays, and comfortable working in a busy hotel environment. A positive attitude, teamwork, willingness to learn and professional grooming are important. Experience in a quality hotel, resort or bakery is advantageous.
