Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a Gulf country made up of seven emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It offers jobs in hospitality, construction, engineering, aviation, retail, logistics, healthcare and technology, with Dubai providing particularly strong opportunities for hotel and facilities professionals. Life is modern, diverse and highly international, though summers are extremely hot. Emirati traditions, Islamic customs and respectful dress should be observed, especially in public and religious places. Dubai has extensive public transport, shopping, beaches and restaurants, while accommodation costs can be high. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored work and residence visa; the company usually arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing and work authorization after hiring. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, flights and annual leave are included. Bring verified qualifications, passport documents and employment references, and budget for initial living expenses.
