Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer extensive hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and service-sector opportunities. The culture is multicultural and generally welcoming, while Islamic traditions, modest public behaviour, and local laws should be respected. Dubai provides a fast-paced lifestyle with beaches, shopping, dining, nightlife, desert activities, and strong public transport, although accommodation and leisure costs can be high. Employers normally sponsor work visas for overseas hires and arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and residency formalities. Applicants should confirm that the employer covers visa and recruitment costs and should never work on a tourist visa. Relocating staff should budget for deposits, transport, and initial expenses, and check accommodation, meals, insurance, leave, airfare, and gratuity terms before accepting an offer.
