Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality opportunities across Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, and other resort destinations. Island jobs are common in hotels, restaurants, diving centers, wellness resorts, and tourism businesses, while Bangkok provides broader year-round career options and stronger public transport. Thai culture values politeness, respect for elders, modest dress, and a calm approach to service. Island life offers beaches, outdoor activities, warm weather, and a relaxed pace, although rent, transport, and seasonal employment can vary significantly. Foreign workers generally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before legally working; requirements depend on nationality and occupation. Employers may assist with documentation, but applicants should verify current rules with a Thai embassy or immigration office. Plan for accommodation, health insurance, local transport, tax registration, and emergency funds before relocating.
