Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hotel, restaurant, retail, aviation and tourism jobs. The culture combines Gulf Arab traditions, Islamic values and a highly international population. Dubai provides modern shopping, beaches, entertainment, desert activities and diverse food, while living costs can be high, especially for housing. Employers normally sponsor work visas for overseas employees after a formal offer; workers should not work on a tourist visa. The employer typically arranges entry permission, medical testing, Emirates ID and residence processing. Confirm salary, accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, leave and contract terms before relocating. Public behavior should remain respectful, and employees should observe local laws, Ramadan etiquette and workplace customs. Dubai Investment Park is connected by road and public transport, although commuting times can be significant.
