Account Assistant

Job Description

The Account Assistant supports the finance department with daily accounting and administrative tasks, including invoice processing, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, payment records, data entry, filing and financial reporting support. Candidates are generally expected to hold a certificate, diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a related field, with relevant hotel experience an advantage. Basic knowledge of accounting procedures, Microsoft Excel and financial systems is useful. The successful candidate should be accurate, organised, dependable and discreet when handling financial information. Good communication skills, teamwork, time management and the ability to meet deadlines are important. Hospitality experience and familiarity with Marriott procedures may also be beneficial.
