Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, cafés, restaurants, hotels and events, especially in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and resort destinations. The culture is generally relaxed, direct and multicultural, with an emphasis on work-life balance, outdoor activities and friendly service. Sydney provides beaches, harbour attractions, dining, arts and an active social scene, although rent and transport costs can be high. New arrivals should budget for accommodation, transport, tax, health cover and daily living expenses. Visa options may include a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored skilled pathways or student visas with work rights; eligibility, occupation rules and permitted hours vary, so applicants should check the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Secure a valid visa before starting work, obtain a Tax File Number, and review employment conditions under Australian workplace law. Relocation is easier with savings, verified accommodation and an Australian bank account.
