Destination Guide

Bali is Indonesia’s best-known hospitality destination and offers opportunities in hotels, restaurants, beach clubs, wellness, events, tourism, and travel services, especially in Seminyak, Canggu, Nusa Dua, and Ubud. Balinese culture is strongly shaped by Hindu traditions, with daily offerings, temple ceremonies, distinctive arts, and a community-focused way of life. The lifestyle combines warm weather, beaches, outdoor activities, cafés, nightlife, and a relatively international social scene, although traffic and seasonal tourism can be challenging. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate Indonesian work permit and stay permit; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers often guide the process, but requirements and costs should be confirmed before accepting an offer. Relocation planning should include housing, health insurance, transport, local registration, and emergency savings. Indonesian language skills are useful, while English is commonly used in international resorts.
