Job Description

The Cook GSA supports the resort’s kitchen operations by preparing and cooking menu items to Marriott standards, following recipes, portion controls, food-safety procedures and hygiene requirements. The role generally requires previous commercial kitchen or hotel experience, basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, safe knife handling and the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. A food-safety understanding, culinary training and good communication skills are advantageous. Candidates are expected to maintain a clean workstation, control waste, support different kitchen sections, follow instructions from senior chefs and deliver consistent food quality. Flexibility is important, as the role may involve early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Teamwork, reliability, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
