Company Info

The Ritz-Carlton Okinawa is a luxury resort operated by Marriott International in the Yomitan and Onna area of Okinawa, Japan. Set among forested hills with views toward the East China Sea, the resort combines refined hospitality with Okinawan culture, wellness, dining, golf, and high-quality leisure experiences. It serves international travelers, domestic guests, weddings, business groups, and long-stay visitors. As part of The Ritz-Carlton brand, the property places strong emphasis on personalized service, elegant presentation, discretion, and memorable guest experiences. Employees work in a multicultural environment and typically cooperate across hotel operations, marketing, food and beverage, guest services, and event teams. The company offers the professional standards and career opportunities of Marriott International, while the resort setting provides a distinctive lifestyle compared with large urban hotels in Tokyo or Osaka.

Destination Guide

Japan offers opportunities in hospitality, tourism, design, marketing, technology, education, and international business. Okinawa is especially attractive for resort, hotel, diving, wellness, food and beverage, and guest-experience roles. Life is relaxed and outdoors-oriented, with warm weather, beaches, distinctive Ryukyuan culture, and a strong local food tradition. Housing and transport can be more limited than in major mainland cities, and a car is often useful outside central areas. Respect for punctuality, teamwork, hierarchy, and careful service is important in Japanese workplaces. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work visa matching their duties; a Certificate of Eligibility is normally arranged before arrival. Candidates should confirm that a graphic design position qualifies under the relevant professional work category and prepare Japanese and English documents. Relocation planning should include accommodation, health insurance, taxes, banking, flights, and typhoon preparedness.
