Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Abu Dhabi is an island city connected to the mainland by bridges and surrounded by coastal communities. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, events, finance, construction, healthcare, and technology provide strong employment opportunities. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international population; modest dress, respectful behaviour, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Life offers modern housing, beaches, shopping, restaurants, international schools, and desert activities, although summers are extremely hot. For most hotel roles, the employer arranges an employment entry permit, medical testing, Emirates ID, and residence visa, often covering sponsorship and sometimes accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, or flights. Confirm the full package before relocating, including probation terms, commissions, working hours, and housing costs. Abu Dhabi is generally safe, but living expenses can be significant, especially rent.
