Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Abu Dhabi is a coastal emirate with a modern, international lifestyle. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, healthcare, technology and finance offer many employment opportunities. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a large expatriate community; modest dress and respectful behaviour are expected, especially during Ramadan. Abu Dhabi provides high-quality infrastructure, beaches, shopping, restaurants and reliable public transport, though rent and daily expenses can be high. Employers usually arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical examination and Emirates ID after hiring; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, annual leave and flight benefits before relocating. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are warm and comfortable.
