Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf destination made up of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the broadest hospitality job markets. Hotels, restaurants, resorts, airlines, malls and tourism companies regularly recruit international staff, particularly for food and beverage, housekeeping, culinary and guest-service roles. UAE culture combines Islamic traditions, Arab hospitality and a highly international lifestyle; modest dress and respectful behaviour are appreciated, especially during Ramadan. Dubai offers beaches, shopping, nightlife and excellent public transport, while living costs can be high. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, medical checks and Emirates ID processing after an offer; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Contracts may include accommodation, transport, meals, health insurance and annual leave, so these terms should be confirmed before relocation. Summers are extremely hot, and shared accommodation is common for entry-level workers.
