Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers extensive hospitality opportunities across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and coastal resort areas. Jobs are available in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, events, and luxury services. The culture is multicultural and generally welcoming, while local customs emphasise modest dress, respect, punctuality, and consideration for Islamic traditions. Life can be fast-paced and modern, with excellent shopping, beaches, dining, public transport, and international communities. Summers are extremely hot, so air-conditioned facilities and indoor activities are important. Employers commonly sponsor a work visa, residence permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID for successful overseas hires. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, and flights are included in the offer. Bring attested qualifications where required, budget for initial expenses, and check contract terms carefully before relocating.
