Destination Guide

Thailand offers strong hospitality opportunities on islands and coastal destinations such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Chang and Koh Lanta. Resorts commonly recruit professionals in rooms operations, food and beverage, spa, engineering, sales and guest services, with seasonal demand often increasing during the high season. Thai culture places value on politeness, respect, calm communication and the concept of hospitality known as service mind. Island life is relaxed and scenic, but transport, healthcare, housing and shopping can be more limited than in Bangkok. Rayong is on the mainland and provides access to Koh Samet, while Bangkok is reachable by road. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit before legally working; requirements should be confirmed with the employer and Thai authorities. Budget for deposits, transport and possible staff accommodation arrangements before relocating.
