Destination Guide

Indonesia offers opportunities across hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, retail, education, technology, and international business. Java, where Bandung is located, has the country’s largest employment market and excellent transport links, while Bali is especially active in resorts, wellness, restaurants, and tourism. Indonesian culture places strong value on politeness, community, family, and respectful workplace relationships. Bandung is cooler and more relaxed than Jakarta, with affordable food, cafés, shopping, and access to mountain areas. Living costs are generally moderate, though accommodation varies by neighborhood. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work authorization and the appropriate limited-stay visa; requirements and permitted activities should be confirmed with the employer and Indonesian immigration authorities before travel. Relocating candidates should arrange a formal employment contract, health insurance, suitable housing, tax guidance, and document legalization. Learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is highly beneficial for daily life and workplace integration.
