Destination Guide

Bahrain is a compact Gulf island nation connected to Saudi Arabia by the King Fahd Causeway. It offers opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, construction, finance, logistics, healthcare, and customer service. Manama is the main commercial center, with modern malls, restaurants, cultural sites, and a lively expatriate community. Life is generally convenient and urban, although summers are extremely hot and accommodation costs can be high without employer support. Bahrain’s culture blends Arab traditions with a relatively open, international atmosphere; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. For overseas hires, the employer normally arranges a work permit and residence visa before or after arrival, along with medical checks and documentation. Confirm sponsorship, salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, leave, and recruitment fees in writing. English is widely used in hospitality, while Arabic is the official language.
