Job Description

The Chief Steward oversees the hotel’s stewarding operation, ensuring kitchens, equipment, storage areas and service facilities are clean, safe and properly supplied. The role typically includes supervising stewards, allocating shifts, maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards, controlling chemical and equipment use, monitoring inventory and supporting chefs and food-and-beverage teams during busy periods. Candidates should have previous stewarding or kitchen-support experience, leadership ability, knowledge of food-safety procedures and strong organisation skills. Reliability, physical stamina, attention to detail and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays are expected. Hospitality experience in a resort or high-volume hotel environment is advantageous.
